West Bromwich Albion forward Brandon Thomas-Asante has admitted that all of the club's players are currently enjoying playing under head coach Carlos Corberan.

Corberan was handed over the reins at The Hawthorns at the end of October following Albion's decision to part ways with Steve Bruce.

Whereas the Spaniard was unable to prevent his side from suffering a defeat at the hands of Sheffield United in his first game in charge, he has since led West Brom to three consecutive victories.

Thomas-Asante played a major role in helping the Baggies secure a win in their latest Championship clash with Stoke City.

After Kyle Bartley opened the scoring for West Brom in this fixture, Thomas-Asante netted a sublime overhead kick in the second-half.

Albion are set to make their return to action on the 12th December when they head to the Stadium of Light to face Sunderland in the Championship.

Making reference to Corberan, Thomas-Asante has praised the Baggies boss for his attention to detail

Speaking to the Express & Star, the forward said: "He is real student, guru, of the game.

"I feel all the players love playing for a manager who loves the game.

"He studies it and when the manager gives us advice we know it will yield results and we know it's from a place of understanding.

"Today, he showed me clips from two years ago of my career so he knows all of us to a really good level.

"I feel that really helps because, when we implement what has been told to us, as you've seen in the last few games, it pays off."

The Verdict

When you consider that Corberan deployed multiple systems during his successful spell in charge of Huddersfield, he clearly knows what it takes to get the best out of players and thus it wouldn't be at all surprising if West Brom climb the Championship standings in the coming months under his guidance.

Thomas-Asante will be determined to establish himself as a regular starter for the Baggies between now and the end of the campaign.

Having scored three league goals since sealing a switch to The Hawthorns from Salford City earlier this year, it will be interesting to see whether the 23-year-old will be able to kick on when the season resumes.

By using the confidence gained from his spectacular strike against Stoke to his advantage in the club's upcoming fixtures, it wouldn't be at all surprising if Thomas-Asante adds to his aforementioned goal tally.
