West Brom assistant manager Graeme Jones has revealed that Albion are targeting 100 points this season, hoping they can reach that goal playing fast, attacking football.

A major criticism of the Baggies under Tony Pulis over the years was that they didn't play attractive football and Darren Moore has set about to change that now they're in the second tier.

And, the early signs are positive, with Albion beating Norwich 4-3 and QPR 7-1 in their past two games.

The recently-appointed Jones has promised that they will continue to go and play attacking football when speaking to the Express & Star:

"We’re West Bromwich Albion, one of the best, if not the biggest side in the Championship. We need a different style and different shape in order to win football matches, because you only get promoted winning football matches."

He also revealed they are aiming very high as they look to secure an immediate return to the top-flight:

"What’s had to change here is that we need 100 points. We have to play more attacking football and score more goals."

Black Country rivals Wolves won the league with relative ease last season, picking up 99 points, so reaching that total would surely see Albion go up as champions.

The Verdict

Well, you can't say West Brom are lacking confidence going by Jones' comments here.

On one hand, it's good to be ambitious and there's no doubting they have a quality squad that are capable of winning this league, so you can understand the faith he has in the team.

However, it can come across as slightly arrogant given the side have already lost to Bolton and were outplayed by Forest this season.
