It has been a whirlwind few days for West Bromwich Albion, with the club on the search for a new manager following the departure of Darren Moore.

The Baggies parted company with the 44-year-old with their hopes of a finish in the automatic promotion places in jeopardy, after going three league games without a win at such a crucial stage of the season.

The sacking has split the Hawthorns faithful, but despite their anger and shock, the show must go on, with the hunt for a new chief underway.

The West Midlands side have been linked with former Sheffield Wednesday manager Carlos Carvalhal and Huddersfield Town manager David Wagner, but with the latter recently running himself out of the running, other options have had to be considered.

It seems as if the club's primary target is a man who is no stranger to promotion - former Fulham boss Slavisa Jokanovic has held talks with the club, and looks the most likely to become the new manager of Albion.

Fans should be absolutely delighted about this - Jokanovic is most people's number one choice, and it's no wonder why. The 50-year old has experience of gaining promotion to the top-flight with both Watford and Fulham, and knows what it takes to get up to the Premier League.

His Fulham side were renowned for attractive, attacking football last season, which must be an exciting thought for the likes of Dwight Gayle, Stefan Johansen and Jay Rodriguez - all have flourished in what has been a magnificent Albion attack this season.

Not only does Jokanovic have experience of promotion on his CV, he knows how to do via the route of the play-offs, which looks to be the only option for West Brom to get into the Premier League now.

He knows what to say to the players and knows which mindset to install into them, and it is a managerial appointment that is sure to delight fans...
