West Bromwich Albion are eyeing a late deal with Leicester City that would see Marc Albrighton switch the King Power Stadium for The Hawthorns.

That is according to Football Insider, who report that the Baggies are looking to bring the 33-year-old in on loan.

As per their report, Albrighton has slipped down the pecking order under Brendan Rodgers of late, competing with Harvey Barnes and Ayoze Perez for minutes.

That is perhaps why the experienced wide man has appeared just 11 times for the Foxes this campaign, with only six of these coming in the Premier League.

Previously, Albrighton had been a regular for several seasons at the King Power Stadium, most notably in 2015/16 as he made nine direct goal contributions as Leicester did the unthinkable and won the Premier League title.

A player with over 300 Premier League appearances to his name, and that winners medal, Albrighton would bring a tremendous amount of experience to the Baggies dressing room as they aim for a play-off place.

The Verdict

This is certainly a deal worth doing for the Baggies if they can get it done.

Although 33, at Championship level, Albrighton likely still has plenty to offer, both on the pitch and in the dressing room.

Indeed, the fact he has fallen down the pecking order at Leicester is no slight on his ability given his competition is said to be Harvey Barnes and Ayoze Perez.

If this one does go through ahead of tonight's deadline, it will certainly be interesting to see how he gets on at The Hawthorns, and how indeed Corberan juggles his wide options, with plenty of them currently at the club, bar any outgoings.
