West Brom are looking to snap up Northampton Town goalkeeper Richard O'Donnell, according to a report in the Sun.

The Baggies are looking to snap up a replacement for the outgoing Boaz Myhill, and have identified the experienced Cobblers stopper as the man to step in and fill the void at the Hawthorns.

O'Donnell began his career with Sheffield Wednesday and has had a checkered career ever since, making plenty of short term moves before establishing himself at the likes of Bristol City, Rotherham United, and more recently, at Northampton.

The report details that West Brom are expected to see plenty of movement in the goalkeeping department, as Watford eye a move for number one stopper Ben Foster.

The Baggies and new manager Darren Moore are hoping to seal an immediate return to the Premier League after being relegated last season in a miserable campaign, although they did finish the season well, something Moore will be hoping to take into the new campaign.

For O'Donnell, it will be hard for him to turn down a move to the Hawthorns in what will be one of the biggest moves in his long career.

Baggies fans, what do you think to this move? Good signing? Let us know in the comments!
