West Brom manager Tony Pulis is ready to offload Giorgos Samaras in order to launch a bid for Blackburn Rovers striker Rudy Gestede, as reported by the Daily Mirror.

The Baggies are also confident of keeping in-form Saido Berahino, who has reportedly been a target for Brendan Rodgers' Liverpool.

Tony Pulis has openly admitted that he would like to add to his brittle strike-force at the Hawthorns, and Gestede, who stands at 6ft 4, would add dynamism to the West Brom attack.

According to the Daily Mirror, Pulis is keen on shifting Greek international Giorgos Samaras, who has failed to achieve regular first team football since his arrival after the World Cup in 2014.

Gestede, 26, has notched 24 goals in 44 games since signing from Cardiff City last January. Fire power is top of the most wanted list for Pulis, who is yet to give his verdict on the club's record signing Brown Ideye.

Gestede's contract at Rovers runs until summer 2017, after the Benin international put pen to paper on a three and a half year deal at Ewood Park in January last year.

He struggled to make the grade at Cardiff, especially during their Premier League season. He made just three appearances for the Bluebirds in the top flight before being sent to Blackburn on loan. After a successful loan stint, scoring 12 goals in 21 games, including a first half hat-trick against West Brom's midland rivals, Birmingham City.

The Baggies currently sit in 14th place in the Barclays Premier League, whilst Blackburn lie in tenth position in the Sky Bet Championship.

Gary Bowyer's side travel to Wigan Athletic in the Championship on Saturday.
