Championship promotion chasers West Brom are looking into the possibility of signing Fulham outcast Aboubakar Kamara.

The 23-year-old is firmly out in the wilderness at Craven Cottage after a number of off-field incidents involving Aleksandr Mitrovic, as well as an on pitch issue revolving around penalty taking duties a couple of weeks back.

However, according to the Daily Mail, Kamara could be offered an escape route from the Cottage by Darren Moore's Baggies, who are looking at adding to their squad after allowing Bakary Sako to make a move away from the club this morning.

Kamara has failed to impress in the main at Fulham but West Brom clearly see a player in there somewhere, and his pace and direct style might well suit the Baggies as they look to land promotion back to the Premier League at the first attempt.

The Baggies are currently fourth in the Championship following FA Cup football this weekend, but remain firmly in the picture following Sheffield United and Norwich City's draw yesterday.

Kamara only signed for Fulham in 2017 and helped the club to win promotion last season, but his altercation with Mitrovic has seen him cast aside, and he appears to have no future under current manager Claudio Ranieri.

The Verdict

Did not see this one coming, but with how Albion play, it might just work out well.

If Kamara can get his attitude right and get his head down, his pace and goalscoring ability will be a big boost for Darren Moore.

He's clearly done at Fulham for the time being at least, so a move to the Baggies could well be perfect for him.
