West Brom have confirmed the arrival of Tyrone Mears on a rolling deal until January today as they look to strengthen their squad.

The Baggies have started the season in pretty decent form but lost last time out on Friday night against Middlesbrough.

Darren Moore, then, has moved to add a new face to his side with the Baggies confirming Mears' arrival on Twitter and their official site:

The right-back is on a short-term deal for now, then, and it remains to be seen whether or not he can impress in the coming weeks and months.

It appears as though he is going to get a chance to shine straightaway, too, with the club suggesting that his debut could happen tonight in the Carabao Cup.

The Verdict

West Brom have started the season well despite their defeat on Friday.

Darren Moore has done a good job so far this season and attacking-wise they are looking very strong.

Defensively they perhaps needed a new full-back, though, and so it remains to be seen if Mears can make a positive difference.

He has experience and on a short-term deal is very low risk.
