Norwich City, Fulham and West Brom are part of a cluster of sides who are interested in making a potential move for forward Daryl Dike this summer, according to TEAMtalk.

The latest report from TEAMtalk confirms that Barnsley do have an option to buy Dike this summer for of a fee of around £18 million. However, it is believed that it is going to be difficult for them to afford to pay that type of sum for the striker this summer now they have missed out on promotion. That comes despite him impressing with nine goals for them in his loan spell.

It is also being reported that a host of Premier League sides including the likes of Southampton, Everton, Wolves, Brighton and Crystal Palace are also interested in bring Dike back to England from Orlando. While TEAMtalk suggest that at the moment it is Everton and Wolves are leading the race for the 20-year-old’s signature.

The report from TEAMtalk adds that West Brom and Fulham are interested in the forward as they prepare for life back in the Championship. Whilst Norwich City are also keen to potentially make a move for the 20-year-old this summer as they prepare for life back in the Premier League.

The verdict

Given Dike’s form this season for Barnsley, it is no surprise to see him be attracting the attentions of a host of clubs heading into the summer. It was always going to be unlikely that the Tykes could afford to buy him permanently if they missed out on promotion so it looks like his future will be elsewhere this summer.

Dike would be a massive signing for either West Brom or Fulham to make and it would be a sign that they are ready to really challenge for promotion to the Premier League next term. He is a player that has already shown he can be a major threat in the Championship and he should only improve as he develops his game further.

Norwich would also really benefit from his added physicality in their side and you could see him forming a very exciting partnership with Teemu Pukki upfront. However, it is going to be very difficult for any of these sides to make a successful move for the 20-year-old given he has interest from a host of Premier League sides.
