West Bromwich Albion and Brighton and Hove Albion are interested in signing Swansea City forward Andre Ayew, according to the Daily Mail.

Ayew is said to be attracting interest from the Premier League ahead of the end of the transfer window, which slams shut on Friday evening.

The 30-year-old scored 15 goals and registered seven assists in 44 Championship appearances last term, helping Steve Cooper's side reach the play-off semi-finals.

The Ghana captain has also scored one goal and registered one assist for the Swans this season, as they look to ignite another push for promotion again this term.

According to the Daily Mail, though, West Brom and Brighton are now showing an interest in Ayew, who only has one year left on his contract at the Liberty Stadium.

Steve Cooper will be reluctant to lose one of his most exciting attacking players with such a short period of time to potentially replace him, and it remains to be seen whether a move away materialises.

The Verdict

Ayew was a class act for Swansea last season, fighting for his place in the Championship and showing what a quality player he still is.

He's 30 years of age but still managed to bag 18 goals in all competitions last term, and I still think he has the quality to perform in the Premier League.

Slaven Bilic is keen to add another attacking player to his side, and a player like Ayew who can play anywhere across the front-line would be a great asset for the Baggies.
