Luton Town boss Nathan Jones has told Luton Today that he would be open to letting some of his players leave this month if the right offers came in for them.

Several players have been struggling for regualr game time at Kenilworth Road, with the likes of Glen Rea, Dan Potts and Danny Hylton all finding themselves left out in the cold.

As a result of this there is a strong chance that there could be some January departures for the Hatters as they seek to keep everyone happy within their current squad.

Speaking recently about the prospect of there being some exits, Jones was keen to emphasise that he wouldn't be against the idea:

"What we have here is a good, competitive, strong squad, great attitude, everyone rowing as such, no passengers.

"If someone comes in for one of ours and we believe for them and for us it's a good move, then we're open to certain stuff."

As for incomings, Luton remain in the market for players this month as they seek to bring in more quality.

The only bit of business that has been conducted in more recent times is the recall of Dion Pereira from his loan spell with Yeovil Town.

The Verdict

It will be interesting to see what sort of business Luton do this month as they are arguably in need of strengthening in various areas.

On the flip side if there is a chance to make back a bit of money on selling players on, it appears that they are open to the prospect.

There are several names that could fall into the category of being fringe players, so it will be intriguing to see if there's any exits.

However it is sometimes best to keep players around just to maintain depth with the squad in case of injuries.
