‘We’re not ambitious enough’, ‘No chance’ – These Cardiff City fans weigh into managerial debate after latest loss

Cardiff City’s poor start to the season continued last night as the team were beaten 1-0 by Coventry City at St. Andrew’s.
The defeat leaves the Bluebirds 18th in the Championship, having won just three games all season. Following a busy summer that saw boss Neil Harris backed in the market, with Harry Wilson the most high-profile recruit, this clearly isn’t good enough.
Therefore, a section of the fans are calling for the ex-Millwall chief to be sacked, and some want to see Eddie Howe in to replace him.
Howe is currently out of work having left Bournemouth, and whilst they were relegated last season, the remarkable work he did in taking the Cherries up the Football League is widely respected.

However, the obvious obstacle to that potential appointment is whether he would consider a move to a bottom half Championship side.
Ultimately, we don’t know, but Cardiff City fans have been debating Howe on Twitter in the aftermath of last night’s setback…
Good to see some realistic fans on here. Im sorry but howe wouldn't come to us sadly. Mind you I said that about Wilson. Bellamy or Hudson will be good for us. Its a shame it hasn't worked out for Harris but last night just was shocking. With the players we got it has to change

Not going to get Howe in! Let’s be fair; Howe played an attacking brand of football at Bournemouth and our players can seem to pass the ball and he will be on a large wage!

Bellamy yes. We have no chance with Howe. He was being touted for the arsenal job not so long ago. I think his ambitions will be a lot higher than a struggling championship team.

No point in Bellamy, totally unproven. Eddie Howe, we’re not ambitious enough to try to get him in. He’ll hold out for a Prem side or Celtic. I keep saying Mickey Flynn deserves to step up. The man’s fantastic. Huds could also be a great shout though.
