‘We’re going up lads’ – Plenty of Bristol City fans have high hopes after recent announcement

Bristol City have completed the signing of Daniel Bentley, who arrives for an undisclosed fee from Brentford.

Bentley has signed a four-year deal with Lee Johnson’s side and he’ll be hoping to make an instant impact with the Robins as they challenge for a top six finish.

The 25-year-old made 33 appearances for Brentford last season, and his impressive performances seemingly didn’t go unnoticed as Bristol City made their early move to secure his signature.

He’ll be challenging the likes of Max O’Leary for a starting spot at Ashton Gate, and Bentley will certainly be confident of establishing himself as Johnson’s number one choice between the sticks.

This signing comes after Jay Dasilva and Sammie Szmodics both signed on permanent deals.

It’s safe to say that the majority of Bristol City fans were delighted to see Bentley arrive ahead of next season.
