It never rains, it pours, is a phrase you could well use to describe the situation at Ipswich Town right now.
Staring down the barrel of relegation from the Sky Bet Championship, the Tractor Boys lost to East Anglian rivals Norwich City at the weekend at a rocking Carrow Road.
And, during the game, Freddie Sears had to go off with a worrying looking injury – with those concerns apparently more than justified now.
Indeed, the club has revealed earlier today that the striker has got a cruciate ligament injury and that will keep him out for at least nine months:

It’s the sort of injury that anyone connected with the game immediately knows is serious and Sears now faces a long lay-off.
Where the club will be in terms of division when he returns remains to be seen, but fans are certainly concerned about it all judging by the immediate reaction:
Bloody hell. That just sums up our luck! Poor old Freddie.

That indeed is a big shame for him and us . Getting back to his best form under PL and experience playing Div 1 footie . Wishing him a speedie recovery.

Only person able to at least score a couple of goals gets an awful injury like that. We’re done this season.
