As expected, Rotherham United are finding life in the Championship slightly difficult following promotion from League One last term.

The Millers sit 12th in the Championship table after twelve league outings, having won three times, drawing twice and losing seven times, however after a run of five games without a win, it seems that January can’t come quick enough so that the Yorkshire club can strengthen, after making just three permanent signings in the summer.

On the contrary, there will be players in the Millers camp that will be itching for a loan move away from the New York Stadium, perhaps due to a lack of game-time.

After a week off with an international break, Paul Warne's men can now look to prepare for their crunch match with Bolton Wanderers next weekend, at the New York Stadium.

But here, we take a look at two players that we expect to leave Rotherham on loan in January...

After an impressive loan spell on loan at League Two side Cheltenham Town, Rotherham obviously saw enough in Onariase in order to want to purchase the former Brentford defender on a permanent basis.

Since then however, the towering 21-year old has made just two starting appearances for the Millers, both coming in the Checkatrade Trophy last season, and is still yet to make an appearance this season.

Another loan move away, perhaps to a League One club, could be the best option for Onariase.

Wiles has been knocking on the door of the first-team this year, making three sub appearances in the league and starting twice in the Carabao Cup.

The 19-year old youth prospect has shown glimpses of his potential, and perhaps the next step for the midfielder is to earn some regular game-time out on loan at perhaps a League One club, so he can come back stronger and more experienced.
