Bolton Wanderers have confirmed the departure of winger Craig Noone, as he joins Australian side Melbourne City.

Following in the footsteps of Adam Le Fondre, who joined Sydney FC, 31-year-old Noone has swapped the north-west for the A-League after just two seasons with the Trotters.

He made 60 league appearances in total, bagging two goals, but becomes yet another victim of the uncertainty raging around the University of Bolton Stadium at present.

It's a challenging time for Trotters fans, they're currently in the midst of a takeover after entering administration. They face a 12-point deduction this coming season having been relegated back into League One. They even had a match postponed after players went on strike.

Noone has previously played for Cardiff, Exeter and Brighton, but now joins Manchester City's sister club Down Under. The Trotters have wished him well on their Twitter, account something that hasn't gone down well one bit.

The move itself has not been welcomed by fans either, who see this as yet another example of their club slowly falling apart in front of their eyes.
