Darren Moore will be relatively happy with the way his first full season as West Brom manager is going with the Baggies well placed for an automatic promotion charge.

They currently sit in fourth place in the Championship table with 26 matches played, three points behind second-placed Norwich City and five behind league leaders Leeds United.

It has been in attack where the Baggies have really shone this season and ultimately what has carried them to the upper echelons of the table, with Jay Rodriguez, Dwight Gayle, Harvey Barnes and Matt Phillips scoring 40 goals between them already.

But with the top of the table as tight as it has been for a long time, the January transfer window looks set to be one of the most important in a long time.

Mason Holgate has already arrived on loan from Everton until the end of the season to add some more defensive depth.

Who else could Darren Moore go for? Here are THREE realistic targets

As impressive as Rodriguez and Gayle have been, they remain the club's only out and out strikers and they are at their best when playing together.

Josh Maja would, therefore, be a very good signing, ensuring that Moore would be able to continue with two strikers if either Gayle or Rodriguez were to get injured.

James has been one of a few breakout stars at Swansea City this season and with West Brom potentially losing Matt Phillips and Harvey Barnes this summer, bringing in the Welshman would make sense.

His pace and directness make him a perfect fit for Moore's style of play and with his contract set to expire in the summer, a move away could be on the cards.

With Tyrone Mears currently the only right-back at the club, some reinforcements are definitely needed.

Barnsley's Dimitri Kevin Cavare has been brilliant for the Tykes this season, proving a huge threat in attack and solid in defence.

His adventurous runs would fit perfectly at the Hawthorns.
