Queens Park Rangers host Blackburn Rovers in the Championship tomorrow, as the West London club looks to avoid a third consecutive league defeat.

A 3-0 loss Cardiff in midweek was a bitter blow to Mark Warburton’s team, who lost 2-0 at home to West Brom at the weekend too.

It’s thrown them out of the top ten after an impressive start to the season saw them in the play-off mix, but back-to-back defeats leave them 11th.

They host Tony Mowbray’s Blackburn at Loftus Road tomorrow, who are placed directly below QPR in the table.

Blackburn are something of a bogey team for QPR - no wins in the last 15 matches against Rovers, having lost the last four.

What’s more is that QPR are one of two teams in the Championship yet to keep a clean sheet this season, Luton Town being the other.

We’ve selected the starting eleven that QPR fans will surely want to see tomorrow, as Warburton looks to go into the international break on a positive.

Joe Lumley was dropped for the match at Cardiff midweek - Liam Kelly replacing him in goal. It was the Scot’s league debut for the club but it’s expected that Lumley will return between the sticks for the game tomorrow.

Yoann Barbet will return from suspension and is expected to join Toni Leistner and Geoff Cameron in the middle of a back five.

Warburton’s QPR usually line-up in a 5-3-2 formation but in South Wales on Wednesday they played a 4-2-3-1. The extra defender was missed for QPR who looked woefully unorganised in a back four, so expect Warburton to revert to a five tomorrow.

Manning will likely take his space on the left of that five, while Todd Kane should be returning to the fold after being benched in Cardiff.

Ebere Eze will more than likely keep his spot on the left of the midfield trio, with Josh Scowen holding. Bright Osayi-Samuel could start ahead of Ilias Chair on the right, having impressed for QPR at Cardiff.

Top scorer Nahki Wells was on the bench in Cardiff, and will undoubtedly return to the starting eleven for tomorrow. He’ll likely partner Jordan Hugill up front - the pair have 11 goals between them this season

The verdict

QPR have struggled for results at Loftus Road this season - seven points from five games, and they face an uphill task with the visit of Blackburn tomorrow.

Though the return of Barbet and well-rested Wells will be an added bonus for Warburton, who’s praying his side don't go into the international break on the back of three straight defeats.
