Leeds United fired themselves back to the summit of the Championship table on Wednesday night with a comfortable 2-0 victory against Leeds United at Elland Road.

Marcelo Bielsa's side took advantage of slip-ups from West Brom, Sheffield United and Middlesbrough to reclaim the number one position.

The Whites took the lead in the 22nd minute when Pablo Hernandez's cross was met by the head of Kemar Roofe, who directed the ball into the back of the net.

The Tractor Boys' reaction was a weak one and they hardly troubled the Leeds defence all night as Marcelo Bielsa's side continued to pile forward.

Centre-back Liam Cooper made it 2-0 just after the hour mark, and Paul Hurst's side can count themselves lucky they did not lose by more, with a host of chances going begging for the home side.

After the match, the Football League's official Twitter account congratulated the Whites on their achievement.

But with the relationship between the club and governing body continuing to strain, the Elland Road faithful weren't in the mood.

Here is how they reacted to the tweet...
