Bolton Wanderers are in a worrying spell at the moment, with the club now placed under a transfer embargo for January.

This means that they will be unable to complete the permanent signing of striker Christian Doidge who moved to the club on an initial loan but with an agreement to make the deal permanent in the new year.

The 26-year-old has therefore returned to the League Two side but Bolton chairman Ken Anderson remained confident of striking a deal to keep the striker. A prospect Vince has now dismissed, comically comparing Anderson to Prime Minister Theresa May.

Mark Cooper’s side currently sit in sixth place as they look to secure at least a top seven finish.

For now though, the chairman’s latest comments have caused quite a stir among the fans, including Bolton’s.
