Leeds United will be hoping they can hold their nerve in the race for promotion into the Premier League this season under the management of Marcelo Bielsa.
The Yorkshire-based side are sat top of the Championship table, and are seven points clear of third-placed Fulham heading into the final nine games of this year’s campaign.
However, that promotion bid has been put on hold for the time being due to recent off-the-field events, with no scheduled return date put in place as of yet.

Luke Ayling is one of the players that have been impressive in that bid for promotion, having chipped in with four goals and four assists in his 29 appearances in all competitions.
It has recently been questioned as to whether the full-back is a good enough option to have for Leeds in the top-flight.
Marcelo Bielsa’s former translator Salim Lamrani has issued his thoughts on the debate, and was almost-certain that Ayling was more than good enough to be playing for the Whites regularly if they’re in the Premier League next season.
Without a doubt, yes. On the pitch, Bill is a courageous fighter who spares no efforts to help the team and who never surrenders no matter the adversity of the circumstances. He always finds the right words to distill the necessary doses of encouragement in crucial moments. https://t.co/8YwBq5Jfgj

After the Derby 2nd leg debacle last season, he’s certainly been one of our senior players, whose stepped up and whose been a leader. Plus he’s scoring some quite nice goals!
