It’s been a good two years for Sheffield United, who have started their rise back through the Football League under Chris Wilder.

Wilder’s two years in charge at Bramall Lane have seen the Blades achieve promotion from League One and then finish 10th in their first year back in the Championship.

The 50-year-old has now committed his long-term future to the club, signing a 12-month contract extension, which sees him contracted to the Blades until the summer of 2021.

Doubt had surrounded Wilder’s future, as he searched for assurances from the club’s co-owners, but the 50-year-old has settled his differences with Kevin McCabe and Prince Abdullah.

Wilder confirmed that positives discussions with the club’s co-owners now mean focus can move to on-field issues ahead of a busy summer.

As expected, Sheffield United’s supporters are delighted to see Wilder commit his future to the club, after the 50-year-old’s role in turning the Blades’ fortune around in the last two years.

Here is the best of their reaction…
