It has been somewhat of a mixed bag for Leeds United during the summer transfer window so far as Marcelo Bielsa looks to piece together a promotion-winning side.

The Whites have made three promising first-team recruits in the form of Helder Costa, Ben White and another loan deal for Jack Harrison.

But they have also seen big names sold, most notably Pontus Jansson's departure for Brentford as well as the sale of Jack Clarke to Tottenham - although he was then returned on loan for the season.

Nevertheless, the departures have left the fans fearing for the future of fan-favourite and midfield colossus Kalvin Phillips, with Premier League interest well publicised.

The Telegraph first reported that Aston Villa were keen to bring him to the West Midlands and, according to David Anderson of the Mirror, that has now been followed up with a bid of £11million.
