“Welcome to the madhouse” – Wolves fans react to new manager appointment

Published

Just one day after sacking Paul Lambert, Wolverhampton Wanderers confirmed on Twitter that Nuno Espirito Santo would become their new manager.

While Lambert was officially dismissed yesterday, Wolves were hunting for a new manager long before his official departure after he fell out with the club’s board over the transfer policy.

Lambert wanted to be in charge of transfers and the board were keen to continue with super-agent Jorge Mendes, who brought in Ivan Cavaleiro and Helder Costa.

Wolves have now turned to Nuno Espirito Santo, who was most recently manager of FC Porto.

The 43-year-old had also had spells as manager of Rio Ave and Valencia too but will now try his hand in England with Sky Bet Championship side Wolves.

Wolves fans flocked to twitter to share their thoughts and opinions on their new manager.

Here are a selection of the best tweets in response to this news.
