West Bromich Albion announced the signing of Scunthorpe United defender Conor Townsend on a three-year deal at the Hawthorns.  

In a statement on the West Bromich Albion website, the Baggies announced that the 25-year-old has put pen to paper on a three year deal, for an undisclosed fee.

Townsend unofficially announced his departure from Scunthorpe and arrival at the Hawthorns in a tweet which stated: “Firstly I’d like to say thank you to everyone at Scunthorpe for the past 2 ½ years! Disappointed we didn’t manage to achieve what we set out to. Want to wish them all the best for the future."

The full back signed for Scunthorpe United in early 2016, and went has gone on to make 94 appearances for the club in total.
