Leeds United will not be impacted even if owner Andrea Radrizzani is forced to close the UK arm of his Eleven Sports streaming service business.

The Daily Telegraph revealed how the UFC had pulled out of a deal with Eleven Sports, whilst subscribers in the UK were not as high as expected for other services including top-flight Italian and Spanish football.

Therefore, the report states that the UK arm is under pressure following severe losses.

Eleven Sports still are heavily involved across the globe and they only just made a serious move into the UK market in the past four months.

Understandably, as Radrizzani owns Eleven Sports, some Whites fans were worried about whether that would harm the club if funds are an issue.

However, the Yorkshire Evening Post spoke to sources at Leeds who revealed that any closure 'would have no material impact on the day-to-day running of the club'.

Marcelo Bielsa's side are currently second in the Championship after a fantastic season so far. Importantly, they hold a five-point advantage over Sheffield United ahead of a very busy Christmas period.

The Verdict

It's natural for Leeds fans to be concerned when they heard about Eleven Sports as any losses there may need to be covered elsewhere from Radrizzani.

But, the statement is pretty clear and they are adamant it will not impact the club.

Obviously, we will see in time how true that is but this doesn't seem like something that should distract or worry Leeds fans.
