On-loan Millwall forward Mason Bennett has issued an apology after a video emerged of him shouting obscenities as he drove past the ground of his former club, Derby County, which has been well-received by many fans of the South London club.

This is not the first incident Bennett has been involved in this season, as he was one of three players that was involved in a drink driving crash in November.

Bennett fell out of favour following the saga and joined Millwall on loan in January.

The 23-year-old has found himself in trouble again after a video emerged on Twitter of him shouting "f****** burn" at Pride Park as he drove past.

The forward took to Twitter yesterday to offer an apology and explanation.

The jury remains out on Bennett at Millwall, as the 23-year-old featured just four times, without scoring, before the delay to the EFL season.

It is understood the Lions do have an option to make the deal permanent, while both manager Gary Rowett and the player have indicated a move could happen.
