Carlos Carvalhal and Sheffield Wednesday recorded a fantastic win on Saturday as they defeated Steve Bruce's Aston Villa 2-1 at Villa Park.

The Owls are enjoying a mini resurgence in form, having won their last two league matches as they currently sit in 11th spot.

Is it fair to say Wednesday have finally turned a corner?

We take a look....

Yes, what a big win Saturday was.

Three points at Villa Park will lift the whole club. The players will get added belief from it and the fans can be a bit more optimistic.

Sometimes you need a shock result or a big win to be the catalyst for a team and that could be the one for Wednesday who are now just three points away from the top six.

A result that could potentially change their season.

If they don't kick on now they never will.

The Owls steadied the ship in beating Millwall last week and now they have gone to an in-form, much-fancied Villa side and beaten them.

That should be a big reminder of what the club can do and with Jordan Rhodes amongst the goals now, who knows where they could head.

Wednesday are finally waking up!

It’s too early to say, but the positive signs are there.

Saturday’s victory over Aston Villa was an extremely impressive result, and we could be starting to see signs of a turnaround.

However, you always feel a disaster is just around the corner at Hillsborough, and a couple of poor results will suddenly pile the pressure back on Carvalhal.

Patience will be key, but it would be no surprise to see the Owls in the top-six again soon.

Adam Simeoni

It looks like it.

Carvalhal was on the verge of the sack, but pulled a rabbit out of the hat with an unexpected run of results.

The Owls have one of the best squads on paper in the division, and it finally looks like they are about to live up to their billing.
