Reading have endured a disappointing start to their league campaign this season, with Paul Clement's side sat 21st in the table, just two points above Preston who have a game in hand on the Royals.

The Berkshire-based side were narrowly beaten 2-1 by in-form Birmingham City in midweek, but the result meant that Reading slipped further down the table, and are facing a relegation battle this season.

Clement faces a tough ask if his side are to turn this poor run of form around anytime soon, with tough games against Swansea City and Bristol City in successive weeks to come for the Royals.

There have been a couple of rare bright sparks this season with Jon Dadi Bodvarsson and Yakou Meite showing some good form, but there are a number of players at the club that are consistently underperforming.

But who would FLW like to see join Paul Clement's side in January?

Find out here....

Reading have been linked with Maddison in previous seasons and they could be tempted to make a move for the winger again in January.

The Peterborough attacking-midfielder registered 12 goals and 23 assists last season in a hugely successful season for the 25-year-old.

But he has fallen out of favour at the club, and has been restricted to just three starts this season in a disappointing campaign.

The Wolves central defender would provide some much quality in depth for Paul Clement's side.

Reading have previously been linked with a move for Hause during the summer and they should definitely consider renewing their interest in January.

The Royals have one of the worst defensive records in the Championship this season, with Preston North End only having a worse record so Hause would prove to be an excellent signing if Reading made a move for him.
