‘Webber get busy,’ ‘Huge blow’ – Many Norwich City fans react as worrying news emerges on 28-year-old

A number of Norwich City supporters have been bemoaning the latest update from manager Daniel Farke that Jordan Hugill has suffered a hamstring injury and could be side lined for a while as a result.
Farke made the decision to start Hugill upfront against Barnsley in the FA Cup fourth round on Saturday, with Teemu Pukki and Adam Idah both still out injured. That was something of a risk for Norwich considering that it was only an FA Cup tie and their main focus will be on maintaining their lead at the top of the Championship in the coming weeks.
Hugill scored a brace in the 2-0 win against Bristol City last time out in the Championship and produced one of his best performances since arriving in the summer. The 28-year-old was not able to replicate that kind of form against Barnsley and was taken off with 25 minutes to go after picking up what looked to be a worrying injury.
7 of these 18 facts about Norwich City boss Daniel Farke are fake – Can you identify which ones aren’t true?
Farke confirmed to the media after the game that Hugill could now be set for a lengthy spell out of action with the hamstring injury that forced him off the field. That could leave the Canaries really short of attacking options for their meeting with promotion-chasing Middlesbrough next weekend in the Championship.
Many Norwich fans were left frustrated that Farke decided to start the forward against Barnsley, while there were others who were urging the club to bring in another striker in the remaining days of the window.
Here then, we take a look at some of the best reactions on social media…
Essential we sign a striker before the month is out. All the eggs are in the Pukki basket and with concerns over his fitness #NCFC must act. Keeper and striker an absolute must to keep the promotion push on track. https://t.co/zSwPYh6REs

Webber, get busy. This is no time to be relying on an Omotoye or Soto. https://t.co/QlxikxFGeN

Don't understand why you would play your only fit striker in a cup game on a muddy field in Barnsley when going for promotion.
I also don't understand how anyone watched Placheta play a game of football & thought it a good idea to spend actual money on him. Get him out on loan.

Starting our only fit striker in a nothing game when we are trying to get promoted was stupid

If there's any doubt over Pukki's fitness for next week it was madness to play Hugill today…
