Reading announced last night that they have sold striker Andrija Novakovich to Serie B side Frosinone.

The 22-year-old has been with the Royals since he was 17, however he has struggled to establish himself as a regular and he has made just three league appearances over the years.

Therefore, Novakovich has had to go out on loan to get first-team football and he has had various spells, including a particularly productive time with Sittard in the Dutch top-flight last season, where he scored nine goals.

And, that prompted interest from Frosinone, with Reading confirming on their official site that the Italian outfit, who are managed by Alessandro Nesta, have signed the forward after an undisclosed fee was agreed.

That decision has not gone down well with many Royals fans, even though he was into the final year of his deal, who feel that the USA international still had a role to play.

Here's some of the reaction to his exit on Twitter...
