Daniel Stendel has turned the fortunes of Barnsley around this season, albeit in a lower division than they were last time out.

Jose Morais had them looking disjointed and confused, but the German manager has come in and instilled a belief in the players. Many of those at the club remain from the relegated Championship side and therefore should be doing well, but they needed confidence.

The Tykes are well placed for a promotion push, but appear to be a little inconsistent recently. They've ground out some great wins, though, none more so than the thumping of Peterborough, but occasionally they look suspect at the back.

There's been a host of top performers this season - Brad Potts has been outstanding and it would be harsh not to mention Keiffer Moore, left to battle on up front after Tom Bradshaw left the club.

In midfield, George Moncur has looked composed and might finally be reaching the potential he's always threatened.

Isgrove has barely been seen in a Barnsley shirt this season thanks to injury, but when he's fit he'll be one to watch.

The former Southampton man has played just once in the league, but with Championship experience behind him he will hope to have more impact than he has done so far.

If he does get match fit he would surely have an impact for the Tykes, even as a sub.

The 23-year old has started a handful of games this season, but is on the fringe of the first team action having emerged four times from the bench.

Hedges played 17 times in the Championship last season and would have hoped to drop down and impress in a similar way to Brad Potts.

If he gets chances on the field, there's a certain class in Hedges that makes us think he could stake a first team place.
