Derby County have announced that they have agreed a fee with Peterborough United for the signing of striker Jack Marriott.

The 23-year-old has been one of the Football League's hottest properties this summer after scoring 33 goals last season in his first season at the Posh.

But the Rams appear to have won the race for the striker after they confirmed the agreement on their club website.

One group of fans who have been mulling over the consequences of the transfer are those at Leeds United.

The Whites have been in the hunt for a frontman all summer and were close to signing Derby's Matej Vydra only for a dispute over wages to scupper the deal, although that may now be back on the table.

But now they are split.

Some feel that Marriott's move to Derby will open the door for Vydra's transfer to Elland Road, whereas others think that they should have gone for Marriott themselves.

Here are some of their reactions to the news...
