Millwall have had plenty of ups and downs in this year's league campaign in the Championship whilst under the management of Gary Rowett.

The Lions finished this season sat 11th in the second-tier standings, and they'll be slightly disappointed that they couldn't put a strong run of form together earlier in this year's campaign.

They certainly didn't finish the 2020/21 season as they would have liked to, as Rowett's side were thrashed 6-1 by Coventry City on the final day.

The club's supporters will be hoping they can put that defeat behind them at the earliest of opportunities though, as they now turn their attentions to the upcoming league campaign, which is set to get under way in August.

We take a look at our top-ten most valuable Millwall players at this moment in time, but do you agree with our list?

Find out which player is up first at number ten, on the next page....

Jón Daði Böðvarsson is the first name on the list at number ten, with the Icelandic international first signing for the club back in 2019.

He had previously played for Wolves and Reading, and caught the eye with some strong performances for both of them, but struggled for consistent goals.

It's been a similar story with Millwall for the striker, as he's scored just once in 40 appearances in all competitions for the Lions this term.

At the age of 28 though, he'll still feel as though he's got something to offer Millwall heading into the 2021/22 season.

Bartosz Białkowski is ninth on the list, with the goalkeeper's age coming into consideration when finding a position for him on the list.

The shot-stopper has caught the eye with some strong performances between the posts for Millwall this season, and he'll be hoping to see more of the same in the future.

His contract is set to expire next summer though, and Białkowski has previously admitted that he's keen to sign a new deal ahead of the 2021/22 campaign.

Millwall face a tough decision next summer when it comes to making a call on his future with the club, with Białkowski showing that he's worthy of a new deal based off of his performances this term.

Ryan Leonard is in at number eight, with the midfielder making 89 appearances for Millwall in total, since signing for the club back in 2019.

He has previously been on the books with Southend United and Sheffield United, but has settled in well to life at The Den with the Lions.

The 28-year-old has made 30 appearances in all competitions this term, and has chipped in with two goals and four assists for Gary Rowett's men.

He's another versatile member of the Millwall squad, and will be hoping that he can consistently be included in the starting XI next season for when supporters will be back in attendance at stadiums across the country.

George Evans is next on the list, with the former Manchester City and Reading man impressing since signing for the club during this year's campaign.

The 26-year-old has gone on to make 19 appearances for Millwall, having previously been on the books with Derby County at the start of the 2020/21 season.

He is a versatile member of the Millwall squad as well, as he can operate both in the centre of midfield, and the centre of defence in a defensive three, which Gary Rowett has been keen to use in recent months.

He'll be keen to play his part in Millwall's push for a top-half finish in the Championship next season, which is achievable if they can put together a positive run of results early into the new season.

Mahlon Romeo is next up, with the full-back being another regular in the starting XI for Millwall this season.

The defender made 38 appearances in total for Gary Rowett's side this term, as they finished 11th in the Championship table after some inconsistent results in the second-tier.

At the age of 25, plenty will argue that he's still got his best years ahead of him, and the Millwall supporters will be hoping that his future is with them moving forwards.

He's a valuable member of the Millwall team, and will continue to be that heading into the new league campaign, which gets under way in August.

Scott Malone is the first name in the top-five, with the Derby County loanee impressing in his time with Millwall in the 2020/21 season.

The left-back has made 43 appearances in all competitions for the Lions this term, and has chipped in with six goals and five assists.

He's been effective at both ends of the pitch for Gary Rowett's men, and it seems as though he could be set to sign permanently for the Lions.

Derby boss Wayne Rooney has recently revealed that a permanent move to Millwall is close for Malone, and the Lions supporters will be hoping to see more of the same from the defender, who has put in a number of strong performances in this year's campaign.

Shaun Hutchinson is next up, with the Millwall central defender being a regular in the starting XI in recent seasons.

He's made 43 appearances in all competitions this season for the Lions, all of which have been starts for Gary Rowett's side.

His experience and leadership qualities are beneficial to the Millwall team, and he'll be hoping he can have an important role to play heading into the 2021/22 league campaign.

Having previously been with the likes of Motherwell and Fulham earlier in his career, he's adjusted well to the demands of Championship football.

Ryan Woods is the first name in the top-three of the list, with the Stoke City loanee impressing in his time with Millwall.

The midfielder impressed with the likes of Shrewsbury Town and Brentford earlier in his career, before moving to Stoke City in 2019.

He signed for Millwall on loan in 2020, and that was extended into this year's campaign, where he has gone on to impress with the Lions.

It remains to be seen as to whether he'll sign permanently for Millwall this summer though, as Stoke City might have a place for him in their starting XI nowadays.

Jake Cooper is in at number two, with the defender being an established Championship player nowadays under the management of Gary Rowett.

He had previously been on the books with Reading, but has impressed with Millwall since signing for the club back in 2017.

Cooper has been a regular in the Millwall team since signing for them, and has made 46 appearances in all competitions this term for the Lions.

The central defender has chipped in with 15 goals in total for the club, and has previously been linked with a move to Scottish giants Rangers. Millwall will be hoping they can do everything they can to keep him at The Den heading into the 2021/22 league campaign.

Jed Wallace is probably unsurprisingly at number one for Millwall, as the club's most valuable player at this moment in time.

The winger has been with the Lions since 2017, and has caught the eye with a number of strong performances for them over the years.

Wallace shown glimpses of his quality in this year's campaign though, with the 27-year-old scoring ten goals and being on hand to provide eight assists from his 47 appearances for Gary Rowett's side.

The Millwall supporters will be eager to see Wallace back to his best for when they return to to stadiums in the 2021/22 season, which gets under way later this year.
