Blackburn Rovers winger Harry Chapman has announced on Twitter that he has arrived in Finland, ahead of surgery on a hamstring injury he picked up in the 0-0 draw with Wigan.

The Middlesbrough loanee has been impressive since joining Tony Mowbray’s side in the summer, but this setback could see the 20-year-old sidelined for up to three months.

Chapman has a bright future in the game having graduated from Boro’s famed academy, and the youngster is held in high regard at the Riverside Stadium.

The youngster was part of the England U20 side that tasted victory at the U20 World Cup in South Korea earlier in the year, and many have touted the youngster to challenge for a spot at Middlesbrough next season when he completes his loan spell in League One.

Dangerous on the ball with the ability to whip in a wicked cross, Chapman has become a popular figure at Ewood Park, and fans from both Rovers and Boro took to Twitter to wish the player luck before he goes under the knife today…
