Blackburn suffered a sickening blow in the 93rd minute of their home derby against Preston North End as Aiden McGeady scored a late equaliser.

Elliott Bennett scored a superb goal to put his side level following Tom Barkhuizen’s opener, his fifth goal in four games.

Craig Conway then completed the turnaround and Rovers looked pretty comfortable in a game where the away side never really turned up but Aiden McGeady had different plans.

Rovers striker Sam Gallagher showed his inexperience by crossing the ball to nobody instead of keeping it in the corner. As a result, Preston were allowed to begin the attack which put McGeady in on goal.

The result sees them drop into the relegation places and the Rovers fans are feeling very low after that late blow, despite their commendable unbeaten run.

Below are a few tweets which sum their thoughts up…

Rovers fans… How do you feel after that result? Can you avoid the drop? Let us know what you think!
