Birmingham City manager Garry Monk has been charged for using abusive language towards a match official during Tuesday night's clash with Brentford.

The incident took place after the Blues were reduced to ten men after Maikel Kieftenbeld was sent off for an off-the-ball incident with Neal Maupay.

Michael Morrison headed Monk's side in front in the 26th minute from a pin-point Jota corner, but Josh McEachran had the home side level with his first professional goal just before halftime, with the midfielder catching out Birmingham 'keeper, Lee Camp, with a free-kick.

The visitors were reduced to ten men in the 66th minute when Kieftenbeld clashed with the league's top scorer and Monk's protests saw him sent to the stands.
