It has been three seasons since Aston Villa were emphatically relegated from the Premier League in 2016.

They are hopeful that under Dean Smith they will finally make it back to the promised land this time around.

Last season they came agonisingly close under Steve Bruce when they made it all the way to the Championship play-off final, only to be beaten 1-0 by Fulham at Wembley.

They were reminded today of one of their most famous victories in the top-flight.

It was their 4-3 win against at White Hart Lane in 1994.

Jim Barron's side took an emphatic 3-0 lead inside 27 minutes thanks to a goal from Dalian Atkinson and a brace from Graham Fenton.

But by the 74th minute, the home side had clawed themselves level with goals from Teddy Sheringham, Jurgen Klinsmann and own-goal from Bosnich.

Then, with Spurs pushing for a winner, Villa pounced as Dean Saunders fired home a 90th-minute goal to win the match 4-3.

Having seen the highlights, here is how the fans reacted...
