It’s been a testing start to the summer for Aston Villa, who are facing up to a third consecutive year in the Sky Bet Championship.
Defeat in the play-off final last month left Villa agonisingly short of a Premier League return, with the club now facing financial difficulties.
Reports have confirmed that the EFL are to schedule talks with Dr Tony Xia and Villa in the coming week to discuss the club’s financial plan.
However, whilst all that is taking centre stage, Villa are continuing to prepare themselves for the 2018/19 campaign, confirming that 32Red have taken over as the club’s Principal Partner.

The 32Red logo will feature on home and away shirts for the new season, with Villa swooping to secure a new commercial deal.
As expected, Villa’s supporters have also found the start to the summer difficult, with plenty of reaction from them to the club’s latest update on Twitter…
