A number of West Brom fans have been bemoaning the latest confirmation from the Baggies that midfielder Jayson Molumby has been withdrawn from the Republic of Ireland squad due to injury.
The Baggies have endured back luck on the injury front so far this season with the likes of Alex Mowatt, Dara O’Shea and Matt Clarke amongst those to have suffered with issues throughout the first few months of the campaign.
West Brom are light on options in the middle of the park and that has seen Robert Snodgrass be used in a central midfield role by Valerien Ismael in recent weeks. Molumby has only just started to establish himself in the Baggies’ starting line-up and has been making an impact in the absence of Mowatt.
However, West Brom have now confirmed via their official website that Molumby has now been recalled from international duty with the Republic of Ireland after he has suffered an issue with a tight hamstring.
Ismael’s side will hope that it does not prove to be too much of a problem and that he can recover during the international break and still be able to play a part for them in the Championship when the campaign resumes.
Many West Brom fans were frustrated with this latest update and they are fearing the worst after the number of other injury issues they have endured this term.
Here, we take a look at some of the best reactions on social media…
