Football League World's QPR fan pundit Louis Moir has set out a list of demands for the January transfer window with attentions starting to turn to business.

The Rs have enjoyed a strong start to the season but Moir is keen to see them continue to strengthen, with defensive issues on the mind more than anything.

And, after being linked with Aberdeen's Scott McKenna in the summer, he would like to see a deal reignited.

"Our priority during the January transfer window should be to sign at least one centre-back," the regular punter told Football League World.

"As everyone knows we have made so many mistakes already this season that have come from individual errors at the back and our defenders not being good enough.

"One player that we were linked with in the summer and tried to sign was Aberdeen centre-half Scott McKenna.

"The 22-year-old Scottish international put in a transfer request and looked to have been leaving Aberdeen but no deal was completed, so I am sure he will be looking to leave in January."

With 11 matches played in the English second-tier, QPR sit in ninth place despite being a pre-season tip to be fighting relegation.

The likes of attacking midfielder Luke Freeman, dynamic full-back Darnell Furlong and combative midfielder Massimo Luongo were all sold in the summer but replaced shrewdly by the new boss, in what was a busy summer.

14 new faces were brought in and 17 departed as the Warburton era got under way.

Prior to the international break, Rangers piced up an impressive 4-2 win against Blackburn Rovers at the Kyan Prince Foundation Stadium, with a trip to Hill City awaiting them this weekend.
