QPR claimed a late victory over Derby County at Pride Park last night and many fans of the west London club have heaped praise on goalkeeper Seny Dieng.
Macauley Bonne’s 88th-minute header proved decisive for Mark Warburton’s men, with the former Charlton striker meeting Rob Dickie’s cross to put his side ahead late on.
It looked for long periods as if the deadline would never be broken in the East Midlands, with both goalkeepers making important saves, but Bonne’s winner in the dying moments of the game meant Warburton’s side took all three points with them back to west London, helping them climb to 16th in the table.
The R’s also earned their fourth clean sheet in the Championship this season, a marked improvement on their record through 10 games last term.
Dieng deserves credit for that, having become Warburton’s clear first choice and making some important saves in his eight appearances in 2020/21.
Are these 12 facts about the R’s’ history genuine or not?
It’s early days but the 25-year-old appears to be impressing the Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium faithful and many supporters took to Twitter to heap praise on him for last night’s display.

Would have taken a solid point and clean sheet but I guess I'll settle for 3 points.
Dickie was immense today and Dieng is the cherry on top! #QPR

Well played Rangers. Been a tough watch at times recently but that was decent. Solid on the whole, bit more incisive in the final third and that could have been comfortable. Dieng and Dickie outstanding. #qpr

Great performance from the Rs to nick a win at the end. Looked more solid defensively too. Dieng has definitely made a difference at the back @QPR

First half thoughts 💭 QPR the better team and we should be winning, Cameron should move to the coaching staff, we have a gem in Senny Dieng. #DERQPR
