Ipswich Town will be very busy this summer as they look to appoint a new manager to replace Mick McCarthy who left last night.

The Irish boss was always leaving in the summer however he made the decision to leave before the end of the season after struggling in the situation they were in.

It will be a big decision for owner Marcus Evans and a tough task for the new manager as McCarthy has over performed in terms of results whilst at Portman Road.

The former Wolves boss was working on a very small budget and managed to get the most out of his players.

Whoever the new manager is will want to assess the squad as soon as possible but he might not like what he has to see.

Here we look at three players that could move on very quickly…

The midfielder is out of contract in the summer and will probably move to France.

He failed to make an impact under McCarthy this season, playing just nine times and not making the squad in recent months.

Bru will surely want to move on in the summer.

Another who is out of contract, Carayol has done reasonably well since joining Ipswich but a new manager might have his own ideas and releasing the winger allows space in the squad.

He failed to really cement a position in the team under McCarthy and the odd flashes of quality may not be enough to earn him a new deal at Portman Road.

The forward works hard and has decent pace, however, his goal record this season has been awful.

No goals in 33 games is not good enough for any Championship player, even if he has been a sub for many of those appearances.

Ipswich have decent options in the final third and the new manager may feel that Sears isn’t needed.
