Sheffield United had a fine first season back in the Championship but ambitious manager Chris Wilder will have been disappointed it didn't end up with a top six finish.

The Blades were one of the surprise early season packages and looked as though they could make it back-to-back promotions at one stage but they eventually fell away and couldn't cling on to a play-off place.

And, it will be clear to Wilder and the fans that they need that extra bit of quality in the squad to last the entire season.

Therefore, he will be hoping for a productive summer that brings in the required upgrades.

Here we look at three deals Sheffield United could conclude by the end of the month...

The Chelsea stopper enjoyed a successful loan spell with the Blades last season, impressing with his shot-stopping ability and commanding displays.

Wilder is keen on bringing the keeper back and whilst the financial aspects still need to be agreed, it is a move that would suit all parties.

The Blades are desperate for some creativity and unpredictability in the final third and Palmer could be the man to provide that, particularly if David Brooks leaves.

Another Chelsea man, he has superb skill, pace and an eye for a pass that would make him a big player for the Yorkshire side.

Wilder has always looked for talents in the lower leagues and he will be aware of the ability of Cheltenham's Eisa.

The young forward had a great season in League Two and is ready for the step up and the Blades boss could be the manager to give him a chance at a higher level.
