Phil Parkinson has had a decent opening 11 matches with Bolton Wanderers in the Championship this season with his side sat in 15th place.

Considering they were one of the favourites for the drop, the former Bradford City manager has every right to be delighted with the start.

But, there is still a long way to go and there is always the looming threat of collapse with Bolton.

Attention may have already turned to January and where they can build even further, but possibly how they can get game time for those not involved too much at the moment.

Here at FLW, we take a look at TWO players who could be on their way out of the Macron Stadium in the New Year...

Bolton are looking to give the young goalkeeper a chance out on loan, but injuries have plagued him recently.

If another opportunity arises in the New Year, you'd imagine he will be on the move.

Marcus Wood is another player severely unlikely to be breaking into the Wanderers side any time soon.

The defensive midfielder is facing stiff competition from Jason Lowe, Josh Vela, Luke Murphy, Gary O'Neil, Joe Williams and Joe Pritchard.

A spell away on loan in the lower leagues will give him a chance to gain experience of playing first-team football and allow him to stake a claim for a spot in the future.
