Plenty of Charlton Athletic fans have reacted to a statement from owner Roland Duchatelet on social media.
In a message to supporters on the club website, the Charlton owner congratulated the team on their play-off win at Wembley and explained how he is still actively trying to sell the club.
Duchatelet also touched on the future of manager Lee Bowyer, who is currently in contract talks with the club, after guiding the team to promotion to the Championship in his first full season as a manager.
Bowyer started the season as caretaker manager, but was then given the job on a permanent basis until the end of the campaign.
Duchatelet revealed that talks with Bowyer over a new and improved deal are scheduled to take place next week and reiterated that both the club and their manager are hoping that he will still be in charge at The Valley next season.
Charlton finished third in the League One table last season and beat Sunderland 2-1 in the play-off final at Wembley, with an injury-time winner from Patrick Bauer.
The statement from Duchatelet caused quite a reaction from Charlton supporters on social media. Here is a look at the best reactions from Charlton fans on Twitter…

Thanks for saying nothing yet writing so much at the same time #cafc

This statement feels like he's setting us up for the worst possible results – nobody would buy us due to the costs of the championship and Bowyer won't accept the contract extension… I predict that absolutely nothing will change and we will be stuck with him

‘Nevertheless, it is unlikely we will win as many games as we did in League One’ Always an optimist that Roland

Typical Duchatelet, blaming other clubs for spending money to bring success. If he is really serious about selling, he should set a realistic valuation. Of course it’s difficult to find a buyer who’s prepared to buy the club & pay off Duchatelet’s debts! #cafc

What did we do to deserve this owner? #CAFC

We don't trust you.

The fact we got promoted this season was a (Bowyer & team led) miracle. The Championship on a shoestring budget plus potentially without Bowyer & key players is going to be a total disaster. Just invest some of your massive wealth into the club if it can’t be sold immediately!!!
