According to reports from Football Insider, Premier League side Liverpool are said to be interested in signing Brighton and Hove Albion defender Ben White, in a transfer move that would affect Leeds United massively.

The 22-year-old has been an ever-present for the Whites this season, and has been a hugely impressive figure in Marcelo Bielsa's side since arriving on loan from the AMEX Stadium.

The centre-half has stepped up to the plate at Elland Road following the summer departure of Pontus Jansson to Brentford, looking calm and assured on the ball and helping Leeds maintain an impressive defensive record this term.

But reports now claim that European Champions Liverpool are interested in signing White, who is said to have impressed scouts in the early stages of the season.

It is claimed that the Merseyside club are targeting White as a long-term replacement for the ageing Dejan Lovren, with the Reds said to be interested in making a January move for the ball-playing defender.
