When it rains, it pours - at least that's the case in Sunderland at the moment.

The Black Cats are going through a rough patch on the pitch as a bad run of form under Phil Parkinson has left their promotion dream in tatters.

The Wearsiders sit in 11th place in League One at the moment, five points from the play-off spots and and a staggering 10 from their original target of automatic promotion.

But while pressure is having a huge impact on the pitch, it seems to be affecting those in the background as well.

Sunderland suffered an unfortunate mishap when promoting Saturday's clash with Blackpool at the Stadium Of Light.

The club posted a tweet with information for those wanting to buy tickets, but there was one thing missing - the correct name of the opposition.

An unfortunate mishap saw the club's Twitter account say that they were playing Bolton Wanderers on Saturday, not the Seasiders.

The post has since been deleted.

Everyone makes mistakes but given recent events at the Stadium Of Light, supporters responded in a less-than sympathetic manner.

Here's how some supporters responded to the club's social media post.
