Peterborough United kept their slim play-off hopes alive last night with a 3-2 victory at Portsmouth, sending both Barnsley and Luton into the Championship.

Ivan Toney's brace coupled with Lee Tomlin's opener was enough to upset Kenny Jackett's side, who they could still meet in the play-offs. Posh now face Burton at the weekend, one point behind Doncaster Rovers.

Grant McCann's Rovers host Coventry City and if Posh better their result, they'll sneak into the last play-off spot where it's likely they'll meet Pompey over two legs.

It's a remarkable end to the season, Posh had been written off after a series of tough fixtures and losing ground on the top six. They've remained on course though and last night's win will send a message to the rest of the play-off group.

Not one of Sunderland, Charlton or Portsmouth would want to meet them on the form they showed last night and predictably their fans were delighted on social media.
