West Brom stumbled to a 1-1 draw with Sheffield Wednesday yesterday, missing the chance to close a gap on the top two who both suffered defeats.

It's not the end of the world, the Baggies go into 2019 in a great position to mount a serious challenge on the top two. Norwich have looked shaky in recent weeks and that will leave Darren Moore hoping for a decent transfer window to boost their credentials.

Still, all is not rosy at the Hawthorns, with a number of players singled out for abuse from the supporters. One player who suffers at the moment is 27-year old centre half Kyle Bartley, who has made 16 starts since his summer move from Swansea.

His name was booed when the teams were read out and following the game, the fans were out in force to criticise him on Twitter. It isn't unanimous, some are defending the former Leeds man, but others have decided he's not West Brom material and that is that.

Here's a selection of divided opinion from social media.
